As a Seattle courthouse wedding photographer, I’ve learned that some of the most memorable celebrations are also the most intimate. Recently, I had the joy of photographing a wedding at the Seattle Municipal Courthouse, and it was the perfect reminder that love doesn’t need a big guest list to be unforgettable. This wedding had just four guests in attendance, plus the judge. The couple chose the courthouse rooftop for their ceremony, with sweeping views of downtown Seattle as their backdrop. The city skyline created a stunning setting for such a private, heartfelt exchange of vows. Why I Love Intimate Seattle Weddings

What made this day so special was its simplicity. With only a few people gathered, the couple could be fully present with each other. There was no rush, no distractions—just laughter, tears, and love. For me as a photographer, these moments are pure magic to capture. Before the ceremony, I spent time with the couple taking portraits around and outside the courthouse. The mix of urban architecture and Seattle’s soft natural light gave their gallery a unique, modern, and romantic feel. My Seattle Courthouse Wedding Photography Package

For courthouse weddings like this, I offer a $500 photography package for two hours of coverage. This includes capturing the ceremony itself as well as portraits before or after. It’s the perfect amount of time to create a meaningful collection of images that couples can share with loved ones who couldn’t be there in person. Planning Your Seattle Courthouse Wedding

If you’re planning a Seattle courthouse wedding—whether it’s just the two of you or a handful of your closest family and friends—I’d love to document it for you. From the excitement before the vows to the quiet moments right after, these small weddings are some of the most powerful stories to tell. Your wedding doesn’t have to be big to be beautiful. Sometimes, the most unforgettable memories are made on a rooftop, overlooking Seattle, with only your favorite people by your side. Xo Stephanie Herrera-Haywood Haywood Moments
